HLS SUPPLIER DEMOS IN DORSET

(Monday, 1st June) Sigma Aldrich - Poole, Dorset

We arrived at Sigma Aldrich (a company which supplies chemicals to HLS) as the workers were leaving, with megaphone and placards in hand, we made sure the workers knew about their company's involvement with HLS. They were quick to make an escape from the horrific truth about their company's direct collaboration with puppy killers! Today showed how effective even a small demo can be.

(Tuesday, 2nd June): Sigma Aldrich & FEDEX - Poole, Dorset

Sigma Aldrich weren't happy to see us again bright and early! Every single car that went past into work was informed about their involvement with animal abuse, with a lot of passing support.

We then moved onto FEDEX, where we voiced their dirty dealings over the megaphone, and handed out leaflets to passers by. Two workers came out and "informed" us that they no longer deal with HLS, although SHAC have received no contact from FEDEX and demos will continue until a statement or confirmation is received.

At 14:00 Hours we returned to Sigma with more people. This demo was far more subdued than previous ones, as we didn't use megaphones this time. However, we stood there with our placards getting our message across visually for a few hours. Sigma, these demos stop when you cut your ties with HLS! Be seeing you soon...
