STAPLES & NOVARTIS DEMOS IN NYC
Demo 1: Staples - HLS Supplier - 2248 Broadway
Continuing the fight against Staples, office supplier to the puppy killers of Huntingdon Life Sciences, activists in New York City staged a protest at the very busy west side store on Broadway between 80th and 81st.
Once again, the "fancy" apartment building next to this Staples location called the police in protest of the first amendment rights of animal rights activists and once again the police told the doormen where to shove it. This is the 5th time this location has been demoed and also the 5th time this building has called the police. Harassment much?
As with every demonstration outside of a Staples store this is an excellent time to educate the public on Huntingdon Life Sciences *and* Staples' connection. As with every demonstration outside of a Staples store there is a ton of support from the public and as with every demonstration outside of a Staples store there are numerous folk who declare they will never shop at a Staples store again.
When will Staples learn that what they're doing is BAD BUSINESS???
Demo 2: Dorothy Watson, General Counsel, Novartis HLS Customer
Next and last stop of the day was at Dorothy Watson's fancy apartment building next to the Urban Outfitters at 72nd Street. Again the public was informed of Watson's part in animal cruelty and again her neighbors were shocked and horrified at what they learned.
Watson's refusal to budge on this issue tells activists she is a brutal animal abuser who has no problems supplying contracts to the monsters at Huntingdon Life Sciences. Novartis' contracts make the killing of 500 animals a day possible inside the cold walls of HLS and Watson's "give a shit" attitude proves how heartless she really is.
