FIGHTING FOR THE ANIMALS

February 1 - Activists from the Anti Dierproeven Coalitie Nederland demonstrated at the gates of GlaxoSmithKline.
+20 angry activists showed their disgust about the torture of innocent creatures inside HLS and all the other facilities GSK is poisoning and torturing animals. We have demo-ed this place 20 times by now and we will continue till GSK dropped Huntingdon Life Sciences. Companies like GSK hate animals and the only thing they care about is their shareprice.

After GSK we moved on to Amsterdam to demonstrate at the consulate of Nepal. We have joined the coalition to stop the export of primates to labs in the USA. Ten organisations are fighting together to stop the export and we are asking everyone to start protesting at consulates and Embassies of Nepal worldwide. www.stopmonkeybusiness.org
The demonstration was a succes. In the highstreets of Amsterdam with a lot of tourists and a lot of support, we showed that a growing population no longer accept animal abuse.

Up to Notox, a CRO like HLS. In this building 160 beagles are tortured and poisoned to death. Notox has an add on their website, stating that Notox employees are happy to poison animals with chemicals, thanks to REACH legislation. We started at 15.00 and only a few people still inside the building.
All the other workers were send home before the protest. Till 18.30 we stood our ground and we will never leave the animals alone. Till the next time.
Our respect goes out to Jill Phipps who died under the wheels of a truck transporting animals. All she wanted to do was to block the truck to save lives – all the trucker wanted to do was to kill her. In the end there's no justice, just us.
