YORKSHIRE PROTESTS AGAINST HLS

8 activists held a day of action in Leeds, including demos at a HLS supplier and a customer.

Staples who are sneakily involved in supplying HLS and have been spotted sending unmarked vans into the labs. So activists held a noisy demo outside Staples in Leeds to inform the public and staff of this company' s involvement in animal torture at Huntingdon Life Sciences. Leaflets were given out to their customers, some of which turned away and everybody around was told about the the cruelty of HLS - from the wild caught primates to the punching of puppies.

A megaphone was also used to great effect ensuring customers and workers of nearby businesses heard the message of Staples involvement. Staples staff were constantly on the phone throughout the demo, hopefully informing their head office that the public does not agree with them supporting animal cruelty.

Stop supplying this disgusting company Staples!

Next stop was the Covance CRU just up the road from Staples. Covance have funded experiments at HLS for a number of years, as well as torturing animals in their own laboratories. Despite many studies there being conducted on a weekend, the site was quite empty but the small amount of staff there were told about HLS and Covance over the megaphone.
