SANOFI-AVENTIS DEMO IN PARIS

At the moment, Sanofi-Aventis supports a campaign dedicated to freedom of expression with "Reporters Sans Frontières". Strangely, these reporters forget to talk about the animals that Sanofi kills and tortures every day and the tens of thousands of humans that are victims of their financial interests, each year.

Also, when 5 activists come to Sanofi's international Head Office to denounce these facts, this freedom of expression just disappears under police and government corruption. This is what the authorities showed us when they put an end to our demo after 20 minutes. We had hardly arrived and there was already one coach and three vans waiting for us, as if they had already planned to muzzle us.

Ignoring our legal authorization for the demo, the Police captain asked us to switch off our megaphones because he was fed up with us telling the public information about the protest. Since we had the authorisations from the Police Headquarters, we used our rights to continue our demo. A journalist inquiring on our fight and Sanofi's interests was quite surprised to see us taken to the Police station, accused of making noise in the street!

We know that we disturb and annoy Sanofi. Sanofi asked the Police to get us "out of their sight and far enough so that they couldn't hear us", putting us three blocks away from their building. (it didn't work because it was too ridiculous). Whatever happened to freedom of speech?

It seems that they are trying to get rid of us and silence us once and for all, but the recent scandal concerning Sanofi's drug called Rimonabant (banned in the US and soon in France) and all the animals that are always the first victims of their dirty business, shows once again why we will never give up the fight.
