HLS SUPPLIERS & CLIENTS PROTESTS IN SOUTH

Early morning of Tuesday 15th January, passionate activists greeted the workers of Steris in Basingstoke as they begin another day profiting from the deaths of both animals and humans. Towards the end of the demo one police officer decided to join us and seemed determined to arrest someone - anyone! Although once he realised SHAC aren't stupid when it comes to the law, he quietly hid in his car for the remaining 15 minutes of the demo while we continued to name and shame this sick company.

Next stop was Sandoz in Bordon, part of Novartis. We spent around an hour and a half shaming this despicable company, who continue to profit from the torture and murder of innocent animals. We watched as embarrassed employees hid behind the blinds and attempted to film us - you would have thought they were used to this attention by now!

Next up was Sartorious in Epsom, this sick company supplies the equipment for HLS, their blacked out windows and refusal to face us says enough about them. The public response in this area was amazing, with one woman even offering us cups of tea and mince pies.

Thermo Fisher, literally around the corner from Sartorious, was on the cards next. We started by interrupting a meeting which was being held in the front of the building and continued to educate everyone in the area of what a sick company Thermo Fisher is, Many leaflets later we moved onto what was supposed to be our final target.

We arrived at Syngenta in Guildford hoping to greet the workers as they leave work, however to our surprise there were only 5 cars left in the car park! Seems that Syngenta employees got the evening off thanks to SHAC! So after 10 minutes of greeting the last of the workers, we moved onto our next final target.

To finish the day off we paid an unexpected visit to PPD, where the security guard seemed particularly interested in his company's involvement with HLS. I guess PPD don't like to tell their staff much of where their pay cheque really comes from!

Another brilliant day of demos complete! Rest assured SHAC will be there to fight for the animals until the gates of the hell hole - HLS, are closed for good!
