NO SUNDAY REST FOR NY PUPPY KILLERS FROM HLS

Demo #1: Andrew Baker, CEO Huntingdon Life Sciences

The afternoon was bright and warmer than expected for the dozen activists who gathered at the home of New York City's most notorious puppy killer, Andrew Baker CEO of Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS). It was clear from the anger of the activists that they are getting tired of knowing that the man who is responsible for killing 500 animals every day and torturing countless thousands of others comes home to a luxury apartment overlooking Central Park.

No rest for the wicked. Why should Andrew Baker have a peaceful Sunday afternoon, when 180,000 animals are imprisoned in the cold steel cages and concrete pens at the Huntingdon Life Sciences Death Camps? Activist's strong and loud voices could be heard for blocks as they chanted: For the animals, we will fight. How does Baker sleep at night?. Perhaps these demos should be done in the dead of night in order to get Baker's attention? The good weather caused many of Baker's neighbors to be out walking Central Park West, where they stopped to receive literature and hear about the atrocities for which Baker is responsible.

Demo #2: Nicole Brier, Liaison Sanofi Pasteur/Sanofi Aventis

Next up was the quaint brownstone building of Nicole Brier of Sanofi Pasteur, subsidiary of HLS customer Sanofi Aventis. Nicole's neighbors know this group very well and many have come out of the building to chat with activists and to ask if there has been any progress in getting Sanofi to do the right thing.

Once again, the sounds of loud passionate voices filled the quiet street as activists vented their anger and frustration at Nicole's lack of compassion. 500 animals died today, Nicole Brier is to blame. they chanted. Nicole, if you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. Do the right thing and let the campaign know that you are asking your company to stop being complicit in the murder of 500 innocent animals at Huntingdon Life Sciences every day.

Demo #3: Dorothy Watson, Vice President & General Counsel Novartis

Always a favorite location for activists is the luxury building of Dorothy Watson of HLS customer Novartis. Of course, Dorothy may not be able to hear activists from her Penthouse apartment; but, her neighbors sure can hear the strong impassioned voices raised against her. Clearly a neighborhood that loves animals, the protest takes place directly across the street from a pet shop and other animal friendly businesses. Many neighbors have come out to find out who in the neighborhood is killing puppies and they are disgusted to hear that it is indeed one of their neighbors, Dorothy Watson.

Dorothy and her husband moved away from their last apartment, where Dorothy was hated by her building neighbors. Looks like she is not making many friends at her new digs. We will never back down until you stop the killing, Dorothy. Novartis, do the right thing and stop financing animal torture and abuse at Huntingdon Life Sciences.
