ASTRAZENECA PRESS CONFERENCE SHAC-ED

Today was an important day for AstraZeneca, and therefore an important day for SHAC. In Moorgate Place, Institute of Chartered Accountants, AstraZeneca were holding a press conference followed by an analyst conference. We arrived there at about 11:30am with the conference starting at midday. We were allowed to get right outside the building and use megaphones to tell all around the truth about the horrors that go on inside HLS. A Swedish reporter actually heard the demonstration from inside the press conference and interviewed one of the protesters once the conference was finished. This is yet more bad publicity for this multinational company who puts profits above everything else. We stayed at this location until about 2:30pm. Though there was no communication between SHAC and AstraZeneca, you can bet that they were mightily annoyed to have such a vibrant and vocal demonstration outside their conference. The rain was monsoon-like at times, but we at SHAC are not fair-weather protesters and it'll take a lot more than a bit of rain to stop the protests against the atrocities committed against the animals in HLS!
