ROUNDUP OF RECENT PROTESTS IN NORTH CAROLINA, US

May 2008 in North Carolina

Three office visits to Staples stores in Greensboro, North Carolina over the span of two weeks.  Over 400 fliers were distributed inside the stores as well as loud speak outs and picketers marching through the aisles.

Friday, May 23rd

Over twenty activists paid a visit to the Novartis office in Greensboro, NC.  We greeted workers with bullhorns and
banners.  Employees looked out their windows, but didn't come out to have any conversations.  Local passersby
were very receptive, honking their horns in support, thanking us and stopping to get leaflets.

Monday, May 26th

A loud demonstration was held outside GSK associate Robert Ingram's house at 3624 Dover in Durham, NC as well as leafleting of his neighborhood and country club
employees next door.

We also paid a visit to the home of Quintiles' Chief Medical Officer Oren Cohen at 125 Booth Meadow Ln. in Durham, NC.  He wasn't at home, but we caught his nanny walking up to the house and gave her information about HLS.
