HORSHAM LEARNING MORE ABOUT NOVARTIS' CRUELTY

We arrived in Horsham early for the demo and leafleted Horsham town centre about World Day for Laboratory Animals, making people aware that cruel, pointless animal experiments where going on in their town inside Novartis! Even though it was raining, we gave out about a 1,000 leaflets about Horsham having a primate research centre in their town.

Then to moved up to Novartis itself, on Wimblehurst Road/Parsonage Road where we had a loud demo. We arrived a bit later than normal because of the leafleting earlier and had a 2 hour demo where we named and shamed Novartis about their links with HLS, a disgusting company who during experiments for Novartis back in 2000 stitched pigs hearts onto monkeys necks as part of the cruel Xenotransplantation 'experiments'. Where HLS broke good laboratory practice over 500 times and where never prosecuted! See:

Since then primate research has continued behind closed doors and the high fences of Horsham Novartis, but don't think for one moment Novartis that your secrets are safe. Their will be more exposes we're sure about the needless vivisection within your walls and we'll be there to make sure the public knows about it!

As ever the demo was warmly received by passing motorists who hooted their support. As we carried on naming and shaming this company who's only goal is profit. The wet weather didn't deter the protesters and we'll see you again soon.
