LONDON SHAC PROTEST AT GSK AGM IN THE 'SOCPA ZONE'

Having already put in our application under SOCPA to do a demonstration at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre a week earlier, the application was approved and a small pen was constructed for our use. The application is due to the fact that where we wanted to demonstrate was within a few hundred metres of the houses of parliament. In a society where free speech is apparently one of our rights, it's an insult to every citizen of this country to have to seek approval just to exercise our human rights if we're near parliament. Megaphones are also forbidden within the 'SOCPA-zone'. The reason we were there was to protest at GlaxoSmithKlein's AGM and if we wanted to do this then we had to apply.

We carried out a really good demonstration despite the restrictions, and the energy was particularly high as we shouted and chanted for 2 hours without the aid of a megaphone. The regular London protesters don't often have a chance to confront GSK, and we really made the most of it for their trip into Central London. Banners were displayed and many leaflets were handed out, while we made sure GSK knew exactly what we thought of them as HLS's biggest customer. Their money pays for sentient, intelligent animals to suffer a life of hell just for the purpose of making money. GSK is a money-obsessed monster who puts share price and profit above the lives of humans and animals every time.

Profit-making 'health' companies never work because there's a massive conflict of interest. What if they haven't produced any useful drugs this year? They still need to retain their share price and rake in their billions of dollars otherwise people will lose their jobs. That is why they couldn't care less if their drugs are useful, useless or deadly, as long as they're making masses of money. No wonder that pharmaceutical drugs are one of the biggest killers in the Western world, because, when it comes to it, money is more important to them than life.

We then moved onto Allianz at 27 Leadenhall St., near Aldgate, where we shamed this company for recently buying over 60,000 shares in HLS. We stayed here for about an hour and, as normal at this location, got a good response. We'll be back at the NYSE next week.

SHAC continues until HLS doesn't.
