Jane was born a normal healthy baby. A short time after she was given the whooping cough vaccine she was taken ill and started fitting. This fitting lasted for twenty four hours in which time she suffered brain damage and was close to dying.

We were devastated to see our once active baby now looking like a rag doll, damaged both mentally and physically. We asked many questions; why had this happened? What had caused it? No answers were forthcoming and we were left to pick up the pieces.

Some five years passed, in which time Jane had (through hard work by us and family) progressed remarkably, she had now learned to walk and to say a few words. At about this time we learned from a friend that other children had been damaged by this vaccine and were making claims. Some children were awarded money, some were not.

We fell into the latter because she appeared to be less than eighty percent disabled.

These drugs of course are all tested on animals and of course they shown that there were such adverse reaction they would never have come on the market.

I now read (some thirty years later) that the pharmaceutical company involved in these drugs at the time that Jane was inoculated, actually got the whooping cough mixed up with the small pox resulting in one person in Ireland receiving damages running into millions of pounds.

God only knows how many others were damaged by the pharmaceutical companies who test their drugs simply to say “well these drugs were tested on animals and seemed to be alright” – well they bloody well aren’t!

Some seven years after Jane was born we had a son, we had no intention of letting him have any inoculations, in any case the G.P had advised against him being inoculated, “just in case”.
