"I am an 83 year old therapist & writer with a professional background in nursing, midwifery work, I have worked as a Midwife with the Quakers & the World Health Organisation in India, Pakistan, Turkey and more recently as a child protection officer in London with the NSPCC and government agencies.

For the last 23 years, since graduating from the University of Cambridge, I have been deeply involved in the animal rights movement, taking part in demonstrations against HLS since 1979. I consider the cruelty involved in vivisection morally unjustified and misleading.

HLS poison animals, and many of their tests are to produce agricultural poisons, household cleaners, garden products etc etc. So polluting the air, soil & water and further polluting the planet and causing illness in people and animals. So the animals are tortured and die for no benefit to any other creature. Humans or non humans.

I hope I live to see the closure of HLS and all such institutions."
