SWEDISH DEMOS CONTINUE IN GOTHENBURG

Monday, 9th Feb - Bayer & AstraZeneca demo in Gothenburgh

Workers at HLS customer Bayer had a noisy Monday morning, as activists held a lively protest outside their office in Gothenburgh, Sweden. With loud chanting, passionate speeches and several megaphone alarms, the campaigners made their message clear: Deal with HLS - Deal with us!

Nobody in the surrounding areas could have missed hearing what a disgusting company Bayer is. And indeed, workers at a company sharing the buliding with Bayer, came out showing thumbs up and bringing coffee, tea and encouraging words to the activists. Bayer's neighbors clearly don't approve with Bayers blood moneymaking and were happy to see people protesting outside their office.

The demo continued to AstraZeneca, another sick customer of HLS. In front of their main door, speeches on the new AstraZeneca related HLS scandal were held and flyers about AstraZeneca's partner where handed out to guests visiting the awful company. AstraZeneca called the cops, who came on site but left after reading the flyers. That's right, even the cops start to dissent AstraZeneca now, after 18 weeks of continued protests.

Tuesday, 10th Feb - Ciba Vision/Novartis demo in Gothenburgh

The acitivists in Gothenburgh, Sweden, continued their SHAC demos the next day. This time the target was Novartis company CIBA Vision. Since it was the first time visiting CIBA Vision, the protestors tried to open a dialogue but where faced by rude workers and phone hang ups. Not letting the animal killers off that easily, banners where unrolled and the megaphones intensively used. This thuesday afternoon, CIBA Vision workers learned what a disgusting company they work for and that they will be a target of the SHAC-campaing as long as they cooperate with HLS.

Monday, 16th Feb - Protests continues in Gothenburgh

Just like last week, activists in Gothenburgh showed their dissent towards first Bayer and later the same day AstraZeneca. The uncomfortable truth about Bayer and AstraZeneca was revealed, as speeches on their human and non-human killing were held outside their offices.

Companies guilty of the killing of hundreds of non-human animals each day, clearly doesn't care for humans either. Just to name a few scandals related to Bayer, is their cooperation with the Nazis and putting out a HIV infected medicine on the market. AstraZeneca and Bayer (and Novartis of course) where also a part of the suing of Nelson Mandela for offering cheaper medicine to the people of South Africa as well as suing the Indian State for the same reason.

Tuesday, 17th Feb - More SHAC demos in Gothenburg

The protests outside Novartis company CIBA Vision continues in Gothenburgh. This time the head of economy invited one protestor to have a talk with him. This was clearly just because of the fear of the SHAC campaign, since he several times tried to ask the protestor what a campaign against them would mean in practice. The activist gave him a promise of protest week after week, until they give up their co-operation with HLS. The head of economy promised to talk to Novartis HQs, but this promise is not enough. Protests will continue as long as CIBA Vision and Novartis is a part of the imprisonment of 70,000 non-human animals as we speak!
