Sigma Aldrich supply vital chemicals and lab equipment to HLS.

Last month on the 22nd of July, we demonstrated against Sigma Aldrich and were faced against extremely pushy police officers; section 27 of the anti-social behaviour act was cited to prohibit the use of the megaphones and we were threatened with arrest if we didn't comply. This section has no relevence to protests at all. A complaint was logged against the police officers in question.

Not to be deterred, we returned today - megaphones in hand! We arrived at 15:30, and stayed to greet the workers as they left for home. There was no hiding from the truth as they drove out and got a faceful of SHAC placards and an earful from the megaphone. The complaint we logged with the IPCC seemed to have the police re-thinking their tactics; they conveyed indifference to us using the megaphones and only stayed for 10 minutes.
