home >> news TOP CUSTOMER DAY OF ACTION IN THE NETHERLANDS Monday 24th August On Monday the 24th Respect voor Dieren went out to protest against customers of Huntingdon Life Sciences in the week of action against the top 3 targets. Our first demo was at Novartis Pharma. Normally the cops are already there waiting for us and draw a line on the ground to stand behind. This time it was just us and Novartis cowards! Our protest was like always, confronting all the Novartis workers coming to the gate with the cruelty going on inside HLS. Next stop was Teva Pharma. This demo was very unexpected for them! We walked towards the building and just at that moment two workers came out to smoke a cigarette, bad timing! As soon as we went around the corner they quickly made their way in again! It is always panic when we go to Teva Pharma, the only thing they can think of is phoning the cops as quickly as they can. If you think smart Teva, then you should know that we have never been stopped by the cops, but only when you sever your links with HLS! After Teva we made our way to Bayer where they also didn't expect us! And it was funny because just when we arrived there were two guests with suitcases standing at the entrance desk! What a shame for you Bayer, what did you tell them? Maybe those guests made their way all the way from Germany, Bayer HQ, because there was a car with a German number plate just parked in front of the entrance, what would a German car would do there anyway? We will be back Bayer! Our last protest was at AstraZeneca in Zoetermeer. Normally when we arrive at the place they already sent all their workers home and is the car park totally empty. This time everyone was there! We had an 1,5 hour protest at their big office. We noticed that every now and then groups of workers tried to sneak out when we were just around the corner, well luckily enough we also split up. We will never let you leave unnoticed AstraZeneca workers. We will always inform you about the links between AstraZeneca and HLS, it's just too sick for words what is happening inside HLS! We want you to pull out now AstraZeneca. Something funny we noticed was when one of us passed by the office of Bristol-Myers Squibb that there were two big vans full of cops driving around there. Surely they were expecting us there and BMS must have been informed. This just shows how much of an impact we have got on customers of HLS. For the animals, Respect voor Dieren |
