HIGHGATE FARM PROTEST

Tuesday, 15th December

Activists from across the north were back at Highgate Farm to remind Geoffrey Douglas and son that while they breed rabbits and ferrets for vivisection they will be the focus of demonstrations by compassionate people who won't tolerate their insistence of putting money before compassion and animal welfare.

We greeted Mr Douglas as he drove into his 'farm' in his luxury sports car, evidence if any was needed, that he could well afford to stop this dirty side of his business and just stick to his hobby with his 50cc motorbikes.

Despite the cold we stayed all afternoon to highlight to local passers by the cruelty going on right on their doorstep. Although the day was grey, and the reason we were there was nothing to be cheerful about, it was brightened by friends old and new and a plentiful supply of hot drinks and vegan treats.

So we're now keen to return as soon as we can, so see you soon Geoffrey.
