TWO FORTRESS PROTESTS & ANOTHER VISIT TO ASTRAZENECA

Friday, 18th December

With heavy snowfall over the night, activists gathered at the Eros Statue wrapped up warmly at Piccadilly Circus and moved onto Fortress for our fist protest of the day there. We had a loud and focused demo outside these blood money lenders at 5 Savile Row. Without their loan to HLS and their recent extension of their loan to help Baker with the LSR buyout/merger.

Lets never forget that without Fortress' loan through their Drawbridge Special Opportunities Fund HLS wouldn't have tortured and killed over half a million animals over the past 3 years and again without Fortress' help Baker would not have found all the funding for the merger/buyout. After some time we moved on to AstraZeneca.

At AstraZeneca at Stanhope Gate, activists had three megaphones on the go letting AstraZeneca know what we think of their dealings with HLS. It's not surprising that AstraZeneca is being sued by their end users of their drug's side effects, with 6,000 just from Seroquel.

Later when some police officers turned up, AstraZeneca moaned about alleged snow ball throwing activities. Even though there was no snow around this area of London, maybe they are having hallucinations from the side effects from their dodgy drugs? The police left, happy with our protest and disbelieving AZ's accusations. They should be more worried about their name being associated with the worse of the worse, contract 'research' organisation - HLS. We continued to remind AZ of their relationship with HLS and their cruel primate experiments at HLS only last year.

After a short break, we decided to go back to Fortress. Since today was a global day of action against them. Protesters were in fine form with loud voices of descent against this blood money lender to HLS were 500 animals are tortured and killed each and every day. We continued to let the whole of Savile Row know about Fortress' dodgy dealings with HLS through their shell companies and ask them a very simple question: what do they really expect to gain from their dealings with HLS, when HLS struggle to pay back even the interest on the loan? HLS have no collateral, no infrastructure and very few financial friends

See you soon
