PROTESTS CONTINUE AGAINST JENNIFER LURAY IN DC

Saturday, 26th December

Animal rights activists followed up on three anti-fur protests with a protest at the home of Jennifer Luray, who replaced a job working for HLS customer Abbott Labs with one working for a 'nonprofit' funded by three HLS customers. The home demo stirred up a hornet's nest of neighbors and cops.

While the fur demos netted little harassment, even at Dior, the HLS home demo was quite another thing.

Jennifer Luray in Upper NW works for a non-profit funded by the three biggest customers of Huntingdon Life Sciences or HLS. HLS is a contract animal testing lab where staffers have been caught punching beagle puppies in the face and an estimated 500 animals a day die to test everything from bleach to cosmetics.

A series of protests at Ms Luray's home has led some of her nasty, rich neighbors to approach the cops demanding that protesters be arrested. This nearly happened after an activist called out one cop for taking over 50 pictures of a female activist. One activist was wrestled to the crowd by cops who then said "we need to see your ID," only to find that activists at these protests do NOT carry ID. As it is legal not to possess ID in DC,and legal to call someone a pervert or say he wants photos for jerk off material, police were unable to do anything more than bluster and threaten.

That cop did not like being accused of being a voyeur taking the shots for his "personal use"- even though everyone was in heavy winter gear, not nude like PETA sometimes does.

The cops backed off arresting anyone at that point, but screamed about "obscenity: and the camera duel continued for the rest of the protest. Meanwhile, more and more of Ms Luray's well-off neighbors gathered in the street. they were not a serious threat as these sort of rich folks never do their own fighting-they just whine and whine to the cops and take some photos.

After the demos ended, all the cop cars followed activists away. Activists responded by turning around and walking back up Connecticut Ave-and all the cops made illegal U-turns. blocking traffic, to follow.

When activists ran through back streets, they temporarily lost the pursuit but cops managed to re-acquire their location, then threatened ARREST for nothing more than walking other than in a straight line back to metro! Again, activists called their bluff and the cops had to back off, unsuccessful in tracking activists back to their cars, the Metro, or their homes.

Jennifer Luray, your neighbors are seeing through your lies about being a good person working for a 'non-prophet'. Jennifer Luray you need to cut your ties with HLS, Battelle, GSK, Abbott Labs, and the March of Dimes aka the March of Crimes. Until all are free.
