Demo #1: Robert Pelzer – President Novartis Protesters arrived at the home of Robert Pelzer, President of Novartis U.S., to name and shame him for his company's continued reliance on Huntingdon Life Sciences. The activists' chants were short and to the point. "It's your company! Your fault! Your greed! Your fault!" This time there wasn't a Pelzer sighting (snaps fingers in disappointment) so activists had to settle for everyone in the area asking about the demonstration. It was easy to explain to everyone that Novartis continues to get the dangerous drugs on the market by contracting with a company that regularly falsifies their research data. Needless to say nobody in the neighborhood was pleased with Pelzer or his employer. Demo #2: James Cornelius – Chairman & CEO Bristol-Myers Squibb After Pelzer, activists marched over to the home of James Cornelius, Chairman and CEO of Bristol-Myers Squibb. It is because of people like him that HLS is able to torture and kill an animal every three minutes. The energetic demonstration was heard far and wide, attracting hundreds of pedestrians and drivers. Numerous people stopped by to inquire about the protest and activists distributed a large stack of flyers. Nearly every onlooker was horrified by the images found inside the HLS laboratories. Though Cornelius and BMS have no qualms with making deals with animal abusers, the public firmly stands against their corrupt and malicious business practices.
