SHAC BIRMINGHAM KICK STARTS LOCAL DEMOS AGAINST NEXT TARGET
Friday, 24th July
With previous HLS top shareholder Barclays pulling out, along with other shareholders, SHACtivists in Birmingham have set about the next local collaborator, Industrial Cooling Systems is firmly in our sights...
Industrial Cooling Systems, Unit 82, Plume Ind. Estate, Holborn Hill, Aston, Birmingham, West Midlands B6 7RT. A supplier of cooling equipment, today received the first of many demonstrations to come until they cut their ties with Huntingdon Life Sciences. We are aware that the campaign is focusing on the main customers of HLS now (Novartis, AstraZeneca, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Bayer) however there are no HLS customers in Birmingham; but that doesn't mean these customers aren't going to be receiving any attention from SHAC Brum as we plan to network with SHACtivists further afield to put pressure on them!
Our local demonstration went well today, the folks over at Industrial Cooling Systems looked just as pleased to see us turn up outside their doors as they sounded on the phone call we made to them before-hand. On the phone, we were told the manager just so happened to be on holiday all week - and that no one at the company knew when he would return, such a coincidence eh!
After notifying them to expect regular demonstrations, they politely replied by hanging up.
They are a bit shy, but they really want to hear from you (politely of course) and have set up a freephone number for you: 0800 169 3861
ICS are clearly ashamed of themselves, shortly into the demonstration started they closed their blinds to try to hide from the truth. However they forgot to close the blinds on another window of their's, which we decided to notify them about after posting a leaflet through it. Not even a thank you! Closing your blinds on us does not bother us at all ICS and although you may not be able to see us, you will have certainly heard what we had to say loud and clear today. Deal with HLS, DEAL WITH US!
ICS are located on an industrial estate and workers from surrounding companies were very interested to learn about HLS, the SHAC Campaign to close them down and about ICS's dodgy dealings with the filthy notorious animal lab. They took leaflets and showed support as they drove passed. Being involved with HLS is not good for your business or reputation ICS. The monsters who work at Huntingdon Life Sciences punch puppies in the face, dissect live primates for their dodgy pharma companies, who produce faulty, fraudulent drugs so not only animals are maimed and killed but humans too.
Compassionate decent people are ashamed of you ICS, the British Public is, and so are your neighboring companies! See you again very soon Industrial Cooling Systems, until you drop HLS!
