Animals are imprisoned all their lives and either suffer from boredom or have to go through painful and stressful experiments. We denounced Sanofi-Aventis' collaboration with HLS in front of their international headquarters. It's partly thanks to customers such as Sanofi-Aventis that HLS manages to struggle through the financial crisis... A window was slammed shut as soon as the megaphone went on! We shouted the usual slogans and played a recording of puppies being beaten (from the "HLS exposed" film). Activists find this soundtrack quite disturbing ... imagine how the employees and the people in street feel! We handed out leaflets explaining why Sanofi is responsible for the death and torture of 500 animals a day. Horrified people even crossed the street to get more information. ----- At the same time in Montpellier, in the south of France, angry activists were standing outside a Sanofi laboratory. This lab does animal testing and it was very moving to think of those poor animals trapped inside the death camp. Pointing at our posters, an executive said that they didn't do "that" in their labs. His "that" was referring to harsh vivisection pictures. The fact is that there is no such thing as acceptable or cruel vivisection, it's all wrong. Besides, Sanofi gives money to HLS and that makes them accomplices. Also, Sanofi harms and kills it's own animals: GMO animals, inoculation of viruses and diseases, vaccine and drug testing... When an activist asked to visit the breeding center, as you can guess, the answer was "no". For the first time Sanofi hired a bailiff to see if we did or said anything reprehensible. We are still wondering if Sanofi sent the bill to HLS...
