PROTEST AT HLS OCCOLD IN SUFFOLK

Friday, 31st July

Friday saw 15 of us protesting at HLS’s smaller lab at Occold in Suffolk. We were in fine voice and the workers who had their car windows down were left in no doubt as to our views. The workers who left by bicycle and the ones who left on foot were definitely in no doubt about our views and strength of feeling. Some cars seemed so keen to pass us by quickly that they had trouble keeping on the correct side of the road. After almost six hours we thought we had made our point and we came away. No doubt we will be back again soon.

The demo was held in memory of Pat Griffin who died recently. Pat was a regular demonstrator and could often be found at the gates of HLS. Pat was an inspiration to us all and her courage and commitment will never be forgotten by us. Pat’s death spurs us on to achieve what she dreamed of.

To Pat, Jane, and all those who have given their lives fighting for the animals, you may be gone but you are never forgotten.

CLOSE HLS!
