CIBA PROTEST IN HOLLAND AGAINST NOVARTIS COMPANY

Monday, 29th June

Ciba confronted with connection with HLS

Activists from Respect voor Dieren (Respect for Animals) went on the streets to protest against Ciba. This company is listed as a customer of the British torture lab Huntingdon Life Sciences, where every day 500 animals are killed brutally for the most insane experiments.

Once the activist arrived at the site in Maastricht (The Netherlands) we decided to have a walk on their site. With placards and megaphones we walked towards their buildings. The security guard wasn't interested in the cruelty which Ciba and Novartis are responsible for and damaged one of the posters. Once we got forced off their property we continued our loud protest for the animals inside Huntingdon Life Sciences. Many employees walked outside to look that what was happening on their doorstep. Facts about Ciba/Novartis and their connection to Huntingdon Life Sciences was heard by every employee there.

After quiet a while, 'directors´ of the site came outside to talk with us. We explained their connection with HLS and asked them to get in touch with their parent company Novartis and their HQ. They told us that we where at the wrong address and we rather should go to the headquaRters of Ciba, (we already do!). That's nonsense, for sure! Every part of the Ciba company can put pressure on their headquarters so we gave them a little time to get back to us on that. If not, we will be back soon again.

Deal With HLS; Deal With Us!
