Many were concerned to learn that Huntingdon Life Sciences, imprisons, tortures and ultimate murders 500 animals every day. Most were horrified to learn that this was going on in nearby East Millstone, New Jersey. Activists staffed a well stocked literature table featuring a DVD player showing a continuous loop of the animal cruelty occurring at Huntingdon Life Sciences. Graphic signs wrapped around the table drew the attention of shoppers passing by. Hundreds of flyers were distributed not only about Huntingdon Life Sciences; but, additionally about their customers and investors. Many stopped to sign the petition and to make generous donations to hhe campaign in order to allow activists to continue their work. Some supporters of animal testing stopped to chat and after viewing the table and hearing of the undercover investigations at HLS, ultimately signed the petition. All agreed that regardless of whether you agree or disagree with animal testing, there is never any excuse for punching beagles in the face and treating animals inhumanely. Some of the people who stopped and chatted left their e-mail address so they could be added to the Win Animal Rights e-mail list because they were interested in getting more involved with the campaign. It was gratifying to see so many support this important campaign of compassion.
