home >> news HLS CUSTOMERS RECEIVE AN EARLY MORNING REMINDER IN DC... Tuesday, 24th November DC animal rights activists paid morning visits to 3 of the top HLS customers: Novartis, Sanofi Aventis, and Bristol-Myers Squbb. When protesters arrived at the first target, Novartis, the security guards were not prepared and one of them, was late for their shift. This gave protesters some leeway for a brief time. Doors were opened and employees were greeted with loud and relentless protest, When is Novartis going to learn, how much longer is the building owner going to put up with Novartis bringing this on them? Next stop was Sanofi Aventis, where protesters received their usual escort by security guards who are in constant contact with law enforcement. Protesters went to one entrance and the doors were locked. This didn't stop them continuing with a very spirited demo. After 10 minutes, protests sprinted to the other entrance leaving security behind and confused. They quickly radioed for back up and more security came out and held the doors open. Protesters did this one more time and security just gave up and closed the entrances off. Employees were carded and one employee was suspected by security as being a protester because he left his id at home. Bad move, when anti-HLS activists are there! After about 45 minutes of naming and shaming Sanofi Aventis, protestors moved on finally to Bristol-Myers Squibb where a spirited and loud protest followed. BMS security guards are not as hostile as Novartis, but they locked their doors while we protested outside. See you soon BMS! Disclaimer: D.A.R.T.T.
