HLS PUBLIC OR PRIVATE - OUR TARGETS REMAIN THE SAME

Sunday, 29th November

WAR Visits Huntingdon Life Sciences CEO Andrew Baker, Co-Chairman of Fortress, President of Bristol-Myers Squibb and AstraZeneca Executive.

Demo #1: Andrew Baker - Chairman & CEO - Huntingdon Life Sciences

To start the day off, protesters visited the home of the person chiefly responsible for the murder and mayhem, HLS CEO and the most despised man on Central Park West, Andrew Baker. The demonstration attracted a great deal of attention as activists once again unveiled the "Andrew Baker Puppy Killer" banner.

The neighborhood, both pedestrians and drivers, once again proved accommodating. One cyclist, for instance, gave a thumbs up to the demo and a middle finger to Baker's building. Classic!

One of the high points of the afternoon was when a friend came by with her rescued pit bull, Cheyenne. Cheyenne barked along with activists as they chanted and when she saw posters with Andrew Baker's picture prominently displayed she went into a near frenzy as she tried very hard to tear the poster to shreds.

Demo #2: Wesley Edens, Co-Chairman & Principal - Fortress Investment Group

After Baker, protesters walked down the block to the home of Wesley Edens, Co-Chair of Fortress Investment Group. Remember it was Fortress that provided the funds to keep HLS from going bankrupt. During the energetic protest, two men decided they were above the law and attacked activists in hopes of stopping the demonstration.

After that proved unsuccessful, they tried calling the police. When the authorities arrived on the scene, they politely informed the men that the protest was perfectly legal. The looks on the mens' faces were priceless! To drive home the message, activists continued the demonstration, bringing more attention to Eden's corrupt business practices.

Demo #3: Lamberto Andreotti - President & COO - Bristol-Myers Squibb

Continuing activity on Central Park West, protesters marched further downtown to pay a friendly visit to Lamberto Andreotti, President of Bristol-Myers Squibb. Though the protest was a short one, it didn't stop activists from aggressively spreading the word about BMS' blood-soaked contract with HLS.

Demonstrators distributed a large number of flyers and effectively engaged the supportive neighborhood. As long as BMS continues to deal HLS, Andreotti can expect to receive more greetings from protesters.

Demo #4: Jorgen Winroth, Director - Investor Relations - AstraZeneca

To close out the evening, activists stopped by a new person of interest in the area. As part of the SHAC Global Week of Action against Astrazeneca, demonstrators arrived at the home of Jorgen Winroth, Director of Investor Relations. Neighbors were very eager to learn what all the commotion was about and gladly offered at some delicious campaign literature.

One interested woman that stopped to talk to activists actually lived on the same floor as Winroth, and volunteered to slip a flyer under his door just in case he wasn't around to hear the protest. Oddly enough Winroth never told anyone where he worked. Imagine that! Well Jorgen, this may very well be the first of many demos for you. Until Astrazeneca stops paying HLS to torture and kill animals, be prepared to hear from WAR again.
