PROTEST OUTSIDE HLS OCCOLD, SUFFOLK

Thursday, 5th November

Seven of us took time to remember the dear late Barry Horne, in the form of a protest at HLS’s smaller lab at Occold, Suffolk. The weather may have been against us but we were all in good spirits and very vocal with it. Someone said “where is Barry?” and then promptly said “ah, there he is”. Although this was a reference to Barry’s picture, it was as though Barry was with us there in spirit.

Our presence obviously affected one worker very deeply as they chose to slow their car down and shout some obscenities and a reference to what they had been doing to an animal the night before. We will never ever understand the mindset of these people. When you think that these are the sort of people who are doing supposed “life saving medical research”. Comments like the one made only serve to remind us that we are right and we will never give in.

Until all are free.
