HLS SMACKDOWN WEEKEND IN LA - DAY 2

Sunday, 8th November

Sunday was another all day, 7 hour demo against Huntingdon Life Sciences and the American Association Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) Convention at the Los Angeles Convention Center (1201 S Figueroa St, Los Angeles, CA 90015). Today's demo was extremely important since it marked the first official day of the week long conference, meaning that activists were able to make direct contact with attendees, potential clients of Huntingdon (to whom we informed of the consequences of dealing with HLS), and actual HLS representatives.

Hundreds of attendees, company representatives and HLS, of course, were subjected to loud chants, megaphone sirens and disruptive banging on the front doors all day. Attendees and event participants were continuously entering and exiting the front entrance, and forced to deal with us. We told them if they felt uncomfortable they could thank Huntingdon Life Sciences for spoiling their event, and that we will not back down until HLS is dropped from the conference. In addition to all the commotion happening at the entrance, activists handed out information and conversed with attendees, telling them of the despicable puppy killing company inside their conference that drags AAPS' reputation through the dirt.

Join the winning side AAPS and kick HLS out of your conference, now!

Its not over yet! More demos against HLS will continue at the L.A. Convention Center from 12NOON on Wednesday, November 11.
