AstraZeneca continue to use HLS even though they know their track record for sloppy work practices, animal cruelty and falsification of test data. AstraZeneca even stated that HLS don't do any painful experiments on the animals there! Which is amazing since all research at HLS is licensed, and it is only licensed when a certain degree of pain is inflicted on the animals. Activists were in fine voice and loudly told AstraZeneca what they though of them and their dealings with HLS (from all sides of their building), we continued to have a loud and focused protest for an hour, we will certainly be back again soon. Demo 2 - Fortress Investment Group, 5 Savile Row, London W1S 3PD We then moved onto the lying Fortress Investment Group's office address on Saville Row. Where activists named and shamed Fortress for their dealings with HLS/LSR for lending them $30 million in 2006, which effectively has kept HLS killing over 500,000 animals over the past 3 years - all thanks to Fortress! HLS would not be able to operate if it wasn't for Fortress bailing them out. Fortress continue to lie and have recently colluded with Baker/LSR over setting up yet another shell/front company River Partners, allegedly selling on their loan - your lies will not wash with us Fortress, unless you can show us the legal documents of the so-called transfer, we will continue to protest against you for your dealings with HLS/LSR. We will not forget that your company has financially facilitated the torture and death of over half a million animals since you gave HLS a loan. Demo 3 - Arrow Therapeutics Ltd, 7 Trinity Street, London SE1 1DB Arrow Therapeuticals Ltd are solely owned by AstraZeneca and since AstraZeneca are a continuing collaborating customer of HLS/LSR we went to Arrow Therapeuticals to let them know what we think of their parent company and called on them to put pressure on AZ to drop their dealings with HLS. It was the first time at this location and from the response we got and a good demo location, we will certainly be back again. The security were very quick to react, and locked the front door 10 minutes after we had arrived. Our megaphones were put to good effect educating the local passers-by that went by and Arrow's neighbours about their involvement with such a cruel and despicable company as HLS, where 500 animals are tortured and killed every single day. Until next time Arrow. SHAC London
