HALLOWEEN PROTEST AGAINST NOVARTIS IN MADRID

At 5pm, on Saturday we gathered for a demo near Novartis in Madrid, to concentrate against Novartis in Madrid, in support of GLOBAL SHAC and organized by SHAC SPAIN. Quickly the 10 activists dressed as medics begin to inform people of the abuses of the pharma industry and the relationship of Novartis with HLS.

With chanting and information through the megaphone taking effect, when many people come closer to consult on the companies that practice the vivisection that products include that type of experiments which were shown in the images, alternative methods and who being able to help to stop this coarse, cruel pratice. There were a grateful group of compassionate people who thanked us for our presence and many people took photographs of the protest, immortalizing the actions of SHAC in Spain.

During the hours when evening came, the police came to inform us that to end the demonstration.

We could not miss, an older man who yelled "crazy" for us to defend animals, said that homeless children were more important, so we made it clear that our concern for these children too, although we were there due to the demand for closure of Europe's biggest experiment laboratory (HLS), and being compassinate people are also concerned about the plight of the homeless.

Madrid activists who took part in that action say it was a success in public information and outreach.

Because words are nothing, and actions are everything ...
