home >> news PROTESTS CONTINUE AGAINST ASTRAZENECA IN LUND, SWEDEN Tuesday, 15th & Thursday, 17th September This Tuesday and Thursday saw demos against AstraZeneca in Lund, Sweden. AstraZeneca claims to have a policy against animal cruelty but they still use Europe's most frequently exposed vivisection lab. Despite all the reports, pictures and video footage from inside HLS, AstraZeneca keeps claiming that there is no animal suffering going on. So, to remind them of the thousands of animals dying in their cages two noisy protests were held this week. On Tuesday afternoon, as the workers left for the day animal rights activists lined up outside the gates. With megaphones, whistles and air horns they made everyone aware of AstraZeneca's dirty business. On Thursday morning, as workers drove in it was time for yet another protest. It was as noisy as ever, with three megaphones and people asking the workers how they can keep working for a company so tightly connected to all this animal cruelty. Two of the entrances were visited today and as the last cars drove in the protest continued for another half-an-hour. These protests against AstraZeneca will continue as long as the company does business with Huntingdon Life Sciences. We'll report back again soon with more demo reports as everyone here is full of energy and wants to do demos as often as possible. Keep it up everyone, until every cage is empty! AZ, DROP HLS!
