MERCK DEMO IN CRAMLINGTON, NORTHUMBERLAND

Wednesday, 30th September

Newcastle activists paid a short but LOUD visit to Merck's site in Cramlington. We arrived as staff were leaving and got straight on the megaphone to tell them what we think of their involvement with animal testing and HLS.

Activists got warm response from staff when they drove by and they were left in no doubt why we were there, with echo's of "500 animals died today, Merck is to blame", we will continue to demo you Merck until you stop dealing with the animal abusers at HLS.

It's plain and simple; if you deal with HLS, you deal with SHAC and you deal with NAR. As activists were finishing the demo and leaving the area a police car pulled up (an hour after being called by Merck staff). Nice to know that the police are busy with 'real' crime and not pestering us.

There are doing to be regular demos at this site, so if anyone local wants to get involved, then please contact us.
