DEMO OUTSIDE MEAD JOHNSON IN OTTAWA, CANADA

Last week for World Week for Animals in Laboratories, Ottawa activists held an anti HLS demo in front of Mead Johnson, customer of Huntingdon Life Sciences. 20 activists many masked carried signs and bullhorns and shamed the Mead Johnson employees for two hours as they left their offices for the weekend. No one with connections to HLS should go home for the weekend while thousands of animal are terrified and waiting to be tortured in their cages at Huntingdon. Mead Johnson share their office with dozens of other companies and they all now know of the unethical business dealings of their neighbour and all were horrified.

Many came over to ask why we were there and to ask what kind of monsters would support animal cruelty, the public saw the pictures of the animals inside HLS, and like any sane person expressed their wishes to shut this vile lab down!!

The day before also for WWAIL, we lined a busy downtown street holding placards and had a table set up so that passers-by could get more information about animal testing including the SHAC campaign, as well as information on ways to help animals by adopting a cruelty free lifestyle.
