home >> news FORTRESS SHAREHOLDER PROTESTS IN LONDON Thursday, 26th August Demos in the financial centre of the city today with activists targeting the top two shareholders of Fortress, the blood money lender to HLS and the main financial backer of HLS, without Fortress' financial support millions of animals may not have died a tormented death at the hands of the killers inside HLS. Fortress are the main reason that HLS can still afford to torture and murder 500 animals a day. So there is absolutely no way we will leave Fortress and their collaborators alone, until they do the right thing and dump their dealings with HLS. We started the day with a demo outside of Legg Mason, 75 King William Street, London who are the second largest shareholder of Fortress shares, effectively owning part of Fortress and therefore are in a position to put pressure on Fortress for their unethical dealings with HLS. We later moved on to Nomura at Nomura House, 1 St Martins Le-Grand London, near St Paul's, just a ten minute walk from Legg Mason. Where, once again, activists were in fine voice as a loud demo occurred, with much interest from the public and Nomura employees. Nomura are very important to Fortress and both companies have many links with each other and although Fortress don't give a damn about the animals they financially back to be murdered inside HLS, Nomura have a slightly better PR image which we intend to change... Nomura we know you don't care about the abuse, the exposes, the side effects, the corruption, etc. But we known you care about your company's PR and we intend to highlight your financial collaboration with Fortress and HLS. We will continue to shame you Nomura mark our words, we will not leave you alone because you are a shameful company. We will be back, until all are free SHAC London
