DAY TWO OF SHAC PROTESTS IN BARCELONA AGAINST HLS CUSTOMERS

Today we visited the largest customer of HLS: Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK) at calle Llull, 321, 08019 Barcelona, who test their products every single day of the week at HLS. Beautiful people from the ar group “Amnistia Animal” (www.amnistiaanimal.org) came from Valencia with their banner to join us in the fight against the evil, immoral, shameful, disgraceful, greedy and corrupted business of the vivisection industry.

Glaxo Smith Kline as well as other pharmaceutical companies wants us to believe that we live longer and healthier lives than our predecessors because of their drugs. That's not true. The real reason we live longer and healthier lives is because we have purer and cleaner water, better working conditions and a healthier diet.

We distributed many leaflets to the employees at the building where GSK are based and also we received great support from the public.

We also reminded GSK when they were making drug trials of the vaccine for pneumonia in 2008, and at least 12 babies died. According to the Federación Argentina de Profesionales de la Salud: "GSK uses children from poor families who are pressured and forced to sign consent forms.” Another example of their scientific fraud is the antibiotic "Raxar" which was tested on animals and killed 13 people.

Then we went to the headquarters of Sanofi Aventis at the building Torre Diagonal Mar at Calle Josep Pla 2, 08019 Barcelona, just 15 minutes walk from GSK offices.

Sanofi Aventis like all HLS customers prefer to ignore the fundamental biological differences between animals and human beings at the physiological, immune and genetic level. Animals do not have our illnesses and drugs have different effects on animals and humans. But while they make money from their drug pushing, which injures and kills both human animals and non human animals we will continue to highlight their abuse.

We also reminded them their antibiotic "Ketek” related to liver failure and death of some patients.

Segundo día de protestas de SHAC contra las empresas clientes de Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS)

El Martes día 28 nos dirigimos al mayor cliente de HLS, Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK) en la calle Llull, 321, 08019 Barcelona, quienes testan sus productos cada día de la semana en HLS. A la protesta se sumaron activistas del grupo animalista “Amnistía Animal” (www.amnistiaanimal.org) quienes vinieron desde Valencia con su pancarta para unirse a la lucha contra el perverso, inmoral, vergonzoso, codicioso, sanguinario y corrupto negocio de la vivisección.

Glaxo Smith Kline al igual que el resto de compañías farmacéuticas nos hacen creer que vivimos más tiempo y tenemos una vida más saludable que nuestros predecesores debido a los medicamentos. Eso no es cierto. La verdadera razón por la que vivimos más tiempo y tenemos una vida más saludable es porque tenemos un agua más pura y más limpia, tenemos mejores condiciones de trabajo y una dieta más saludable.

Repartimos muchos folletos a los empleados del edificio y además recibimos mucho apoyo por parte del público.

También recordamos a GSK, cuando en el año 2008 estaban haciendo sus ensayos de la vacuna de la Neumonía, y al menos 12 bebes murieron. Según la Federación Argentina de Profesionales de la Salud: “GSK utiliza a niños de familias humildes que son presionados y obligados a firmar formularios de consentimiento”. Otro ejemplo de su fraude científico es su antibiótico “Raxar”, el cual había sido testado en animales y asesinó a 13 personas.

Después nos fuimos a la oficina central de Sanofi Aventis, en el edificio Torre Diagonal Mar, en la calle Josep Pla 2, 08019 Barcelona, a solo 15 minutos de distancia caminando desde GSK.

Sanofi Aventis al igual que los otros clientes de HLS prefiere ignorar las diferencias biológicas entre animales y seres humanos a nivel fisiológico, inmune y genético; que los animales no tienen nuestras enfermedades y las medicinas tienen diferentes efectos en ellos y en nosotros, los seres humanos.

Del mismo modo, les recordamos su antibiótico “Ketek”, relacionado con deficiencia hepática y muerte de algunos pacientes.

Estas protestas han sido realizadas como homenaje a los miles de bellos, inteligentes, sensibles e inocentes animales que teniendo el mismo derecho a la vida que nosotros, son torturados y asesinados en ese infierno llamado Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS).
