ASTRAZENECA AND FORTRESS PROTESTS CONTINUE IN LONDON

Activists gathered once again to protest at AstraZeneca at 15 Stanhope Gate for their continued dealings with HLS, you would think with all their job layoffs and cut backs on their research that the first logically port of call would be to dump HLS? After all, AZ's court cases of their side effects from Seroquel continue to grow and you would think that getting rid of a company that falsifies test data and is cruel to animals would be a logical choice? Or maybe it's because AstraZeneca themselves suppress their own test data too and that they stick together as two lying, cruel companies together?

We had a loud and spirited demo outside their building for over an hour, letting every visitor know exactly what we think of AZ's track record of using such a cruel company such as HLS. While you continue to use HLS, we will be on your doorstep and will continue to protest against you across the world.

Next stop was Fortress Investment Group at 5 Savile Row, where we again had a loud, focused protest. This company bailed out HLS in 2006 with a 'secret' loan which they have tried to hide away from campaigners. Fortress are so ashamed of their loan dealings with HLS they paid a company in Luxemburg to set up a shell company to hide their dealings with HLS. Fortress are responsible for the deaths of 500 animals every day at HLS because of their financial support. Fortress are the last in a long line a financial companies that have lent money to HLS - all of them have pulled out and we will continue our campaign against them until Fortress do the same.

It makes no business sense at all to deal with HLS, they have the worse track record for animal cruelty and exposes than any other lab, and have a really bad track record for paying back their loans and bills to local businesses too.

We continued our demo for about an hour then moved off for a quick break before returning again to Fortress for another quick demo to keep them on their toes, we will be back soon Fortress, unless you do the right thing and ditch HLS - Until all are free
