ASTRAZENECA PROTEST IN STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN

We headed to the suburbs of Stockholm to protest against AstraZeneca continuing to use HLS to get their dangerous, useless, but very profitable drugs onto the market. AstraZeneca have a huge amount of land here - literally dozens of buildings - and most of the people who live in this small town work for AstraZeneca. It's a really disgusting place with its own animal labs, and from visiting it is very clear just how much money animal testing really makes them. No wonder they are willing to do anything to stamp out scientific criticism of it.

We used a megaphone, placards, whistles and a banner to show the workers inside exactly what AstraZeneca are all about and how we will not sit back and wait for HLS to close - we are going to fight tooth and nail to make sure that day comes sooner rather than later. In typical AstraZeneca bully-boy fashion, the head of security came out and started pushing the protesters around, picking mostly on the smallest and youngest protesters. Unsurprisingly, AstraZeneca resorts to violence and intimidation tactics against non-violent peaceful protesters. We're bigger than that though and didn't let some brain dead security guy ruin our demonstration. We stayed for about an hour in the cold of about minus 14 centigrade, in the deep snow! We shall return soon!
