MORE CHARLES RIVER DEMOS IN IRELAND

Just wanted to say a big 'thank you' to all those who came to the protests on Friday! In particular, activists who travelled from Donegal Veg and Animal Rights Northern Ireland, and to our Dublin drivers who got everyone there and back safely!

We had a loud protest outside both their premises and left them in no doubt why we were there. Activists were in fine voice and showed their anger that places like Charles River are allowed to exist in the 21st century.

There were a few interesting developments on the day - both Charles River labs had installed new CCTV cameras, intercoms, and had put sheet metal up behind their gates - so that we could not see through them! There was a large Garda presence on the day too, and additional Fortknox Security staff guarding the perimeters of the lab grounds. So at the very least, we are costing them time and money - and our campaign has only begun!
