HLS COLLABORATOR PROTESTS IN LONDON

Friday, 18th June

Activists met up for another round of demos against HLS customer, AstraZeneca and funders Fortress Investment Group and Nomura in London.

At AstraZeneca on Stanhope Gate we quickly got on the megaphones to continue to highlight the corruption and cruelty of AZ, and for continuing to use HLS despite the large amount of historical evidence showing animal cruelty, slop work practices and scientific fraud. We stayed outside AZ for about an hour, handing out leaflets and talking with interested passers by.

Next stop was Savile Row, Fortress Investment Group's offices were we made the many office workers and passers by during a busy lunchtime period aware of Fortress' unethical dealings, lies and support of animal cruelty. Fortress are the main financial funder of HLS, lending them over $70. Without their financial support, HLS would not be able to continue killing 500 animals a day!

Then we moved into the city, where we protested outside Nomura near St Paul's and unfurled a large banner which read: "Nomura invests in animal torture" which was plain to see for all the passing people and traffic. This is a good spot for a demo and many leaflets were handed out naming and shaming Nomura for their links with Fortress, owning 15% and sharing directors with them. We will continue to protest against any company that has dealings with Fortress and HLS.

See you soon, until all are free
