DAY OF ACTION AGAINST NOMURA & NOVARTIS IN STOCKHOLM

Tuesday, 22th June

This warm and sunny summer day a group of activists gathered in Stockholm to show their outrage against the companies that keep HLS in business.

The first stop was at Nomura, a joint owner in Fortress, the investment company that has made it possible to continue the torture inside the walls of the horrendous vivisection lab by loaning them $70 million. A couple of protesters made an attempt to get inside the office, in order to face-to-face inform the employees about what sort of filthy business they are supporting, but wasn’t let in. Instead we spent about half an hour outside the building, making them, as well as the passing people, aware of Nomura’s lack of ethics with help from a megaphone, placards and a bunch of flyers.

After the visit at Nomura we headed towards Novartis, where we continued to declare our disgust for the tormentors of animals loud and clear. Time had moved towards the end of the working day and many of the employees reacted strongly to our message when passing by on their way to their cars. One man, supposedly the son of an associate, behaved very aggressive jumping out of a car and pushing one of the protesters. We continued to express our feelings about Novartis' despicable connection to murderous lab HLS for about an hour before bringing the day to an end. We’ll be back!
