FORTRESS SUDSIDIARY PROTEST IN FLORIDA

Wednesday, 23rd June

In continued solidarity with the Global Week of Action Against Fortress Investment Group, activists protested at Flagler, a subsidiary of
Fortress since 2007, at 2855 Le Jeune Road, Coral Gables, FL.

The group of activists were able to make it to the fourth floor office of Flagler. There, they asked to speak to someone about Flagler’s connection to the puppy killers at Huntingdon Life Sciences. No surprise, the request was denied and security was called.

Back outside, protesters battered the building’s façade with resonating chants. Individuals from a number of offices came outside to find out what the commotion was about. They were informed of Flagler’s unethical ties to the vile vivisection done at HLS. The newly informed folks were genuinely shocked, as anyone with a conscience would be.

At one point during the protest, five police cars with six officers showed up. And surprisingly gave the activists no trouble.

Before ending the demonstration, the compassionate protesters adamantly stated that they would keep demoing Fortress Investment Group, its subsidiaries and shareholders, until they recall the loan that is allowing the mutilation and murder at HLS to continue.

We’ll be back!
