home >> news FORTRESS PROTESTS ACROSS LONDON Thursday, 24th June As part of a week of action against Fortress, London activists started their day of protests outside Legg Mason at 75 King William Street, London, EC4N 7BE. Who are the largest Fortress shareholder with over 7 million shares, effectively owning over 15% of Fortress. They are in the position to make a difference for the animals inside HLS and we will continue to highlight their investment in animal cruelty until they do the right thing. Next stop was Nomura at Nomura House, 1 St Martin le Grand near St Pauls. Who are a 15% stakeholder of Fortress and even share directors with them, so have a direct interest (and control) with dealings at Fortress. Do Nomura really want to be associated with animal cruelty? We had a loud demo outside their large offices, with many passers by taking leaflets and wanting to know more about Nomura and Fortress. Last stop of the day was at the Fortress offices themselves at 5 Savile Row, where we quickly attracted support from the public. We have been protesting outside these buildings for over six months now and we're not going away Fortress until you pull your blood money loan with HLS. Fortress have funded the deaths of over 600,000 inocent animals since 2006 at HLS and with Fortress being tne main funder of these cruel, pointless 'experiments' there is no doubt that we will continue. One the past six months have shown, is that Fortress don't give a damn about the animals inside HLS or the human victims caused by vivisection. So we will continue to target Fortress and any company that has dealings with Fortress including their shareholders, stakeholders, subsidiaries and financial allies. Until all are free, we will continue SHAC London
