ACTIVISTS BACK AT HIGHGATE FARM

Sunday, 7th March

Activists were back at Highgate Farm to remind the 'farm' that breeding animals for vivisection is a cruel and barbaric trade and that sending them to die in UK laboratories is inexcusable. We let them know and the village that using animals in experiments is unethical, unreliable and unnecessary and that humans as well as animals are killed every year because of misleading data given from animal experiments.

For the eight of us there, the weather was glorious and there was a really nice feel of spring in the air at last. However we did not forget the reason why we were there, especially now as we stand next to the sheds where these beautiful rabbits and ferrets are housed in filthy conditions until they are sent off to die.

We stayed for 4 hours and then whilst driving off through the village the police decided to routinely stop our vehicles. This actually worked in our favor as it alerted the locals why we are there and allowed us to highlight the wretched plight of the defenseless animal a short distance from the lovely country homes.

We ask everybody reading this not to forget about the animals kept in these sheds in filthy conditions, that only see sunlight on there way to the laboratories and then are brutally murdered for needless profit.

Don't forget that there will be an Easter Bunny demo at Highgate on Saturday, 3rd April.

See you there!
