home >> news ANTI-VIVISECTION DAY OF ACTION IN LONDON Friday, 28th May London activists held demos for three campaigns against different vivisection targets today - transport suppliers El Al, an HLS funder Fortress and Leicester Uni lab contractors Willmott Dixon today with the first demo starting near Euston Station. El Al Israel Airlines on the 2nd Floor,16 Upper Woburn Place, London, WC1H 0AF. Tel: 020 7121 1400 and 020 7121 1490 are a link in the chain of cruel trade in which monkeys are forcibly removed from their natural environment in Mauritius and flown to Mazor Farm in Israel, a breeding facility and then onto animal testing laboratories across the world. London activists showed their solidarity with the Close the Mazor Farm campaign by highlighting EL Al for their involvement in this cruel trade. Mazor Farm supply monkeys to HLS. Video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VYuI5Vpce8 The next protest was a regular one for London campaigners and was part of a SHAC day of action for beagles in labs - Fortress Investment Group at 5 Savile Row, W1 who provides the blood money loan to keep HLS killing 500 animals every day - over $70 million were secretly lent to HLS in 2006. But Fortress were tracked down and exposed for the greedy company they are. Activists were in fine voice and made sure everyone around Savile Row heard about Fortress' dirty deals with the animal torturers at HLS. (aka 'the beagle punchers'). While the private security guard wrote down our descriptions and what we were saying to pass the time? While the staff hid in their offices, activists named and shamed WD for their dealings with animal torture. It was a good mix of demos, with support and interest from the public. London activists will continue to target animal abuse establishments and their collaborators until all are free from the injustice and cruelty. Video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5Ne_Mh6WCQ
