home >> news ANOTHER ROUND OF FORTRESS PROTESTS IN LONDON Thursday, 6th May Some activists went to Fortress Investment Group's UK HQ at 5 Savile Row to leaflet people going into the shared building before the start of the official start of demos later in the day. This early morning leafleting allowed campaigners to talk with people going into the building at the start of the work day and pass out many leaflets about Fortress and their blood money loan with HLS to passers by as well. Later on at 11am, a dozen activists met up at St Pauls and moved on to Noruma at Noruma House, 1 St Martins Le Grand, who share directors with Fortress and are also a 15% stockholder and strategic partner of Fortress. As with last week outside Noruma we had a good response from people in the building and passers by. Activists will continue to pressurise Noruma and Fortress to stop funding animal torture at HLS, we will continue to target them otherwise. We later moved on to Legg Mason at 75 King William Street, who are the second largest shareholders of Fortress to highlight Legg Mason's unethical share dealings with Fortress and animal torture. Again activists had a good response from people in the shared building and from passers by. The campaign against Fortress has continued to grow from just targeting Fortress as they don't seem at all concerned about the cruelty inside HLS and we will continue to target anyone that has dealings with Fortress. Lets not forget that Fortress have directly funded HLS since 2006, causing the deaths of over 600,000 animals.
