BRISTOL ACTIVISTS PROTEST AT VIVISECTOR'S ALLIES

Tuesday, 23rd November

BARC activists took to the streets of Bristol and the surrounding area to remind workers and the public what goes on behind the doors of animal laboratories. In the morning we held a protest outside Willmott Dixon at 16 Queen Square, Bristol, BS1 4NT to 'welcome' in the staff and show them they can't be involved in the construction of an animal torture chamber without attracting the attention of the animal rights movement and the disgust of the general public. Our graphic new vivisection display boards attracted a lot of attention from passersby by - even a dog stopped to bark at the disturbing images! Pull out of the Leicester lab, Willmott Dixon, or we shall continue to protest outside your offices to remind everyone what you are up to.

In the evening we travelled to AstraZeneca's Avlon site at Severn Road, Hallen, Bristol, BS10 7ZE to give the workers there a send off and remind them what happens every day to the animals trapped inside HLS. Workers could not help but look at our pictures of dogs and cats in laboratories asking 'What if this was your dog/cat?' You know what you need to do AstraZeneca. Hundreds of companies have ditched HLS after hearing about the cruelty that goes on inside, many many more have chosen never to work with them. The blood of 500 animals is on your hands every day, AstraZeneca!
