FORTRESS & FORTRESS SHAREHOLDERS HAVE MORE DEMOS IN LONDON

Friday, 15th October

Activists gathered on a dull morning to start their regular protests against Fortress Investment Group and their collaborators who are the main financial life-line and are helping to keep HLS abusing and killing 500 animals a day.

We were in fine voice today and made sure our important message was heard at Fortress' UK HQ office at 5 Savile Row, were we held a vibrant and loud protest and continued to name and shame Fortress for their blood money loan to HLS, without which HLS would have likely closed down in 2006. Since Fortress' secret bailout of HLS, over 600,000 animals have suffered and died a lonely, lingering death inside the torture lab called HLS.

Fortress have gone to the High Court to try and stop our protests, so activists are limited to the amount of protestors that are 'allowed' near their offices and as we had more than the allotted 10 people, others when off to protest at Sankaty Advisors, (now an ex-Fortress shareholder). So we had two demos going on at the same time in the West End of London, which doubled our message to Fortress and HLS that we will never except their financial support of animal cruelty and abuse and we will continue to highlight any company involved with this multiple exposed, disgusting cruel company - HLS. With hearing the news of Sankaty Advisors pulling out of dealings with Fortress and HLS, activists moved on to some of the larger financial allies and collaborators of Fortress and the cruel torture at HLS.

After a short tube journey into the city centre, we continued to protest at the Bank of America at 100 Newgate Street/2 King Edward Street. For not only are they one of the top shareholders of Fortress, they have also last week helped Fortress out of debt with a $280 million loan! Maybe they're not getting our message loud enough! So we had a very loud protest all around the Bank of America's offices during their lunchtime with security closing all their gates and we think BoA got our message this time and as long as they continue to bank role animal torture and human suffering through HLS, we will never leave them alone, until they drop all ties with Fortress and HLS, this is only just the beginning!

Next and final protest of the day was at Nomura at 1 Angel Lane, in their new glass offices down by the Thames. With activists immediately starting their protest against them for being the top shareholder of Fortress, sharing directors with Fortress and even lending money to buy 5 Savile Row where Fortress have there offices in London. Nomura are so closely involved with Fortress that they will continue to be a major focus, along with HLS' customers and we will not back down or stop our campaign against them until HLS are closed for good. Never forget what a small amount of determined people can do Nomura, rest assured we will continue to the end. Until all are free, we will not fail them.
