WEEK OF ACTION CONTINUES IN LONDON

Friday, 22nd October

Another day and more protests in the city against HLS and Fortress Investment Group. Our first stop of the day was a new location, Fortress' landlords: Kajima Estates at 248a Marylebone Road, NW1 who own 5 Savile Row, Fortress' offices. Kajima borrowed money off Nomura to buy 5 Savile Row, so we thought we would pop by and educate them on their tenant's unethical financial dealings with HLS, they got our message loud and clear and there was much passing interest from the public.

Next stop, was another late lunchtime visit to the Bank of America again on Newgate Street for a short half hour protest to remind them of their corporate responsibilities and called on then to ditch their investment and loan with Fortress Investment Group for their funding of continued abuse at HLS.

Passing Nomura's other offices we headed for JP Morgan again at 125 London Wall, EC2Y 5AJ, where we protested at both their entrances, handed out flyers and talked with the passing public. While JP Morgan locked their doors we continued to name and shame them as the 4th largest shareholder of HLS financial life-line, Fortress (FIG). We will continue to come back to this demo location until JPM do the right thing like Sankaty Advisors and dump their blood money investment.

Finishing off the day again at Nomura's HQ at 1 Angel Lane, EC4R 3AB where protestors made their point about Nomura's links with animal abuse and human illness and vowed to continue their demos while they are involved with Fortress or until Fortress pull out of funding with HLS. We moved around their building and stayed there for about an hour and a half while Nomura workers left for the weekend, while handing out flyers to all those interested on their way home.
