TWO MORE HLS ENABLERS HAVE PROTESTS IN DC

Saturday, 23rd October

Two HLS enabler targets received peaceful but very noisy protests outside their homes. Michael Paese of Goldman-Sachs and John Richardson of Abbott Fund. Their companies support Huntingdon Life Sciences, a brutal animal death laboratory that kills 500 animals a day testing useless garbage like Splenda, tanning lotion and Viagra. There were no police problems at Michael Paese’s place, and Paese's neighbors have never heard about GS involvement in animal torture.

We protested outside Paese's front door from the small alley next to his blood money home. Activists blasted their message loud and clear: Goldman-Sachs still holds just short of 800,000 disgusting animal abuse enabling shares. Fortress is learning the hard way that dealing with HLS will only bring them woes: Fortress' share price just dropped almost 50 percent in one day! Goldman Sachs, you lost roughly 3 and a half MILLION dollars in a single day due to their disgusting and filthy investment in Huntingdon Life Sciences' lifeline, Fortress. Goldman Sachs and all others: Fortress is a sinking ship – Get out while you can and sell all your shares of Fortress (FIG).

These protests were held in solidarity with the SHAC-UK defendants, six brave and amazing activists being sentenced, possibly to long prison terms, in Britain for peaceful, legal protests. In addition, Michael Paese was advised that for his company, Goldman-Sachs, to send 75 Capitol police with guns (via a false report of shots fired) against protesters at the Goldman-Sachs office at 101 Constitution Ave would just send protesters to his home in addition!

Next up was Abbott Fund Vice President John Richardson's home. Again, numerous protestors greeted John Richardson (and all of his wonderful neighbors) with an extremely loud, legal message of compassion: Drop HLS as a customer and activists won't come back any more. It's really that simple.

John Richardson, how does it feel producing baby formula that ended up having bug larvae in it? How's the product recall? How's the effort to put a good spin on feeding bugs to babies going?

Leaving the SHAC-UK II prisoner solidarity protest at the Georgetown home of Abbot Fund Vice President John Richardson, activists were threatened by DC police with arrest for having tinted windows in a car, for “impeding their ability to conduct their investigation“ (merely video taping and standing peacefully on the sidewalk) and for refusing to provide ID. All the threats were shown to be bluffs by the fact that if cops can arrest you, they DO arrest you, they do not bluster and threaten. In particular, there is now law in DC against not carrying ID!

The cops surrounded an activists' parked car before protesters returned to it, ticketed the car for being an alleged 13 inches from the curb (activists didn't see any measuring tape – surprise!), threatened to JAIL the driver and impound the car over tinted windows, threatened to arrest the group’s attorney and pushed him away, claimed an attorney could not videotape the proceedings because no charges were being filed, grabbed a camera but returned it on orders from a superior - then let everyone go after demanding to see ID from the whole group and being shut down with a few “we don't have to show you our IDs – we know the law.” It's true: In DC you do NOT have to show ID to cops when they ask. Had they actually had the legal right to arrest anyone, they would surely have done, the fact that no arrests were made can be regarded as proof of the lies the cops were telling. At least they were not stupid enough to think they had the ability to “delete” our pictures this time!
